giving points to OCD's that must have there points even

Category: the Rant Board

It really makes me mad when the CL's and Adman's give points. then I've gotta go in and make all my points right again. It drives me nuts to not have them as an even number. it's gotta be to the thousands. Maybe I'm just crazy, but it really annoys me.

Take some meds for Christ's sake! Jeesh! Besides, it's only lasting for the month of April.

Post 3 by nikos (English words from a Greek thinking brain) on Thursday, 05-Apr-2007 15:21:50

Lol. This is funny.
I might create a topick complaining when my quicknotes don't fit in one line and they take two hahaha.

o my god. shell I say definitely obsessive

Post 6 by PorkInCider (Wind assisted.) on Thursday, 05-Apr-2007 16:44:53

Oh silvia, I didn't know it got you as well. I love it when certain people are on, and admin is about, I encourage random points giving, because it's so amusing to hear you OCD people complaining.

Post 7 by DancingAfterDark (I just keep on posting!) on Thursday, 05-Apr-2007 17:04:35

Sylvia, you're my hero. No, seriously, you are.
Yeah! Power to the OCD peoples. Lmao.
But you do realize that since you posted this, it's going to get ten times worse, right?

And Kevin, you're a bastard.

Post 10 by purple penguin (Don't you hate it when someone answers their own questions? I do.) on Thursday, 05-Apr-2007 17:25:01

I've always wanted 1000000 points even but I like the uneven points better. I say we should have half points.

Post 11 by PorkInCider (Wind assisted.) on Thursday, 05-Apr-2007 17:29:51

And I love you Chelsea. :P

Post 12 by purple penguin (Don't you hate it when someone answers their own questions? I do.) on Thursday, 05-Apr-2007 17:32:13

Just kidding about the half points.

Post 13 by blbobby (Ooo you're gona like this!) on Thursday, 05-Apr-2007 17:42:38

I hope you were kidding about the half points. Because I'm a proponent of the even points thing. I enjoy spending many minutes at highlow or blackjack trying to even up my points, rounded to the betting limit. Then I'll mess up and win 25 (twenty five freaking points) from hangman, and I've got to do the whole thing again.

And it's not OCD it's just being neat, very very neat.
I think they should give negative points.

Bob

Post 14 by purple penguin (Don't you hate it when someone answers their own questions? I do.) on Thursday, 05-Apr-2007 17:47:14

I hope your kidding about the negative points. I don't want to lose points. I seem to do that with the games.

Post 15 by midnight sun (you can't catch me, i'm the palobread man) on Thursday, 05-Apr-2007 18:09:02

isn't this extremely obsessive? but isn't this what makes it funnier when admins and cl's give random points? I am the opposite of that because I like to have an uneven number, but if it happens I don't care that much, but well I have another problem I have nothing else to say now but I have to keep talking because I still have 7616 caratters remaining and it's not an even number, so I need to keep rambling until I have just 7000 left, and I will probably have to write 5 other posts here so it will be 20 posts, and 20 is an even number, so I think I will do that unless someone is doing it already, then I can sleep in peace tonight because if no one does that I sure as hell wont sleep at all, you guys could think I have issues but I swear I don't, it's just I keep hearing those voices in my head telling me I have to have an even number of caratters left or they wont leave me alone, and they see everything I do and hear everything I say, they control me and I can't fight it! 7000 bye

Post 16 by PorkInCider (Wind assisted.) on Thursday, 05-Apr-2007 19:43:03

Lory, I love you,
Just wow! You made a funny topic even funnier, and you made me laugh out loud, when I feel really ill, and not like smiling. So thank you.

Post 17 by DancingAfterDark (I just keep on posting!) on Thursday, 05-Apr-2007 19:49:34

It's so not nice to make fun of us, we can't help it!
But, fucking roflmao, you're awesome, Lory.

Post 18 by VolcanicAsh (Zone BBS Addict) on Friday, 06-Apr-2007 0:52:48

Yes I'm one of those people as well and Chris N is evil and loves to give psychotic numbers just to piss me off. Hahaha Lory that's absolutely hilarious! I won't gripe a whole lot more about this seeing as I'm so cold i'm shaking!

Post 19 by forereel (Just posting.) on Friday, 06-Apr-2007 9:07:48

Post 21 by blbobby (Ooo you're gona like this!) on Friday, 06-Apr-2007 10:57:20

Who the hell gave me a point. How rude.

Post 22 by margorp (I've got the gold prolific poster award, now is there a gold cup for me?) on Friday, 06-Apr-2007 11:33:34

Lol who complains about points?
I just wouldn't want to log on one day and see them all go down the shitter.

Post 23 by Blue Velvet (I've got the platinum golden silver bronze poster award.) on Friday, 06-Apr-2007 12:49:53

Here's something for you OCD people to really get upset about. OCD should be CDO because that's in correct alphabetical order. Doesn't the fact that the letters are not in order make you mad?

Post 24 by crimson x (This site is so "educational") on Friday, 06-Apr-2007 14:02:08

um we had 23 posts and that's an uneven number lol

Post 25 by purple penguin (Don't you hate it when someone answers their own questions? I do.) on Friday, 06-Apr-2007 17:12:02

Isn't 25 posts even better. You can divide 25 evenly by five.

Post 26 by Ukulele<3 (Try me... You know you want to.) on Friday, 06-Apr-2007 17:17:18

*laughs* I can't believe this! heheheheh It's so obsessively funny. I have to say that Lory and Leaffan both really cracked me up! Also I agree with the whole minus points thing. I'm too damn lazy to lose all my points! lol No matter what J. and Chris do, people are always going to complain! hehehehehehe

Michelle

Post 27 by TonjaGlass (Wisewoman of What?) on Friday, 06-Apr-2007 17:48:58

LOL.. Can you say obsessive compulsive??? Prozac may help.. hehe..

Post 28 by DancingAfterDark (I just keep on posting!) on Friday, 06-Apr-2007 18:25:38

*sighs*
I don't think it was meant as a complaint against what J and Chris are doing. This is the rant board, y'know, and for people who are bothered by such things, it really is annoying. So ... she ranted. Yay.

And the real point to my posting again is to say that according to Sam, it's not OCD, it's ... *searches for the fancy-sounding term* ... synesthesia, I think?

Post 29 by jmbauer (Technology's great until it stops working.) on Friday, 06-Apr-2007 19:12:07

Oh Christ, Lory,, roflroflrofl! Fucking great.

Now, we'll have, drumroll please, twenty-nine posts. Twenty-nine is, you guessed it, a prime number, and an odd number. Two digits with one factor...two for the price of one.

Okay, I'm off to take my medicin...hey, notice the spelling? Sounds the same? seven letters? That aughta liven things up a bit. :D

Post 30 by TonjaGlass (Wisewoman of What?) on Friday, 06-Apr-2007 19:46:40

LOL.. Sorry Lori, but my son is autistic.. and ummm I call a shoe a shoe.. hehe.. No seriously, I am just playing around with you.

Post 31 by purple penguin (Don't you hate it when someone answers their own questions? I do.) on Friday, 06-Apr-2007 20:11:37

Yay 31 posts. Is it time to go crazy yet? Btw I lost my points and have a nice goose egg.

Post 32 by nikos (English words from a Greek thinking brain) on Friday, 06-Apr-2007 20:52:22

Ok when i read this topick i didn't know what OCD is. I didn't know that it was a psychological disorder.
I thought it was another usual complain for somebody like people wanted free premium in the past so i didn't take it seriously.
But my girlfriend told me what OCD means so i have to say that i regred writing post3 and i shouldn't write it.

Post 33 by DancingAfterDark (I just keep on posting!) on Friday, 06-Apr-2007 20:56:39

Hahah, s'all good, Nikos. Everyone else is making fun of us too. *sniffles*

And Jim, you're just ... a bastard!

Post 34 by Rune Knight (Ancient Demon - Darkness will always conquer Light!) on Friday, 06-Apr-2007 21:20:40

For being logged in you have been awarded 25 points (oops my bad that's an odd number)

For being logged in you have been awarded 50 points (an even number) LMFAO!!

Better yet how does 1,001 points sound? (oh yeah nearly forgot you don't like odd numbers in points so they're mine.)

Gwahahahahahahaha!!!

Nah really in all seriousness, even or odd it's still points added to your account. Admin give this poor dude some even numbers! LOL :)

Post 35 by Reyami (I've broken five thousand! any more awards going?) on Saturday, 07-Apr-2007 1:15:38

I don't really give a shit if the numbers are even or odd, just as long as I have points. As of right now, they are almost nonexistent.

Post 36 by retrieverdog (when I'm in seventh hour, my work does show.) on Thursday, 03-May-2007 11:34:31

yes that does make me mad that they are not in order. it looks wrong. lol

Post 37 by blbobby (Ooo you're gona like this!) on Thursday, 03-May-2007 14:42:40

Yea! I've been waiting for someone else to post in this topic, because I couldn't post a non-prime numbered topic. But, topic 37, and 37 is a prime number. Yea!

And Becky, God will punish you for your earlier post about o.c.d. not being in alphabetical order. But, o--fifteenth letter of the alphabet, + c=3 + d=4 = 22 which is eleven doubled, and eleven is a prime number. Isn't that great?

Now, someone post post 38 so I can post again.

Bob

Post 38 by Blue Velvet (I've got the platinum golden silver bronze poster award.) on Thursday, 03-May-2007 15:04:53

Bob, you are even weirder than I originally thought. Now here's a number for you: 666

Post 39 by blbobby (Ooo you're gona like this!) on Monday, 07-May-2007 22:40:40

Becky, weird is a relative thing, and speaking of your relatives... .

Did you know:
666 is an abundant number.
It is the sum of the first 36 natural numbers (i.e. 1 + 2 + 3... + 34 + 35 + 36 = 666), and thus a triangular number.
Since 36 is both square and triangular, 666 is the sixth number of the form n2(n2 + 1) / 2 (
triangular squares)
and the eighth number of the form n(n + 1)(n2 + n + 2) / 8 (doubly triangular numbers.)

666 is the sum of the squares of the first seven
prime numbers
(i.e. 22 + 32 + 52 + 72 + 112 + 132 + 172 = 666).

The harmonic mean of the decimal digits
of 666 is an
integer:
3/(1/6 + 1/6 + 1/6) = 6, making 666 the 54th number with this property.

In base 10, 666 is a
palindromic number,
a
repdigit
and a
Smith number.
A
prime reciprocal magic square
based on 1/149 in base 10 has a magic total of 666.

The
Roman numeral
representation of the number 666 (DCLXVI) uses once each the Roman numeral symbols with values under 1,000, occurring in descending order of their respective
values (D = 500, C = 100, L = 50, X = 10, V = 5, I = 1).

666 is a member of the Indices of prime
Padovan sequence,
3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 14, 19, 30, 37, 84, 128, 469, 666, 1262, 1573, 2003, 2210, ....
